That initiative also comes as the company focuses on integrating Worldpay, a massive processor it acquired in January from FIS Inc. for $22.7 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Early Wednesday, the company\u2019s top executives said progress has been encouraging on both of these fronts. Having launched Genius for Restaurants a year ago, followed by Genius for Retail in June and Genius for Enterprise in September, Global\u2019s most recent product on that platform is a mobile version, which\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/global-payments-looks-forward-to-a-post-issuing-era\/\">Global<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0chief executive Cameron Bready said has attracted 500 locations in less than 60 days.<\/p>\n<div class=\"g g-4\">\n<div class=\"g-dyn a-697 c-1\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"g-dyn a-701 c-2\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe continue to see strong momentum for\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/global-payments-notes-updates-to-its-genius-pos-tech-as-worldpay-looms\/\">Genius<\/a><\/strong>, \u201d he told equity analysts on a call to discuss Global\u2019s March-quarter results. \u201cBookings have nearly doubled year-over-year. Clients are willing to pay for its differentiated capabilities.\u201d He said interest has also developed among financial institutions, where sales of the platform is now a \u201ckey priority\u201d and an initiative set to start next year.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1329804\" src=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/genius-pos-global-payments.jpg.webp\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 376px) 100vw, 376px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/genius-pos-global-payments.jpg.webp 376w,https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/genius-pos-global-payments-300x300.jpg.webp 300w,https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/genius-pos-global-payments-150x150.jpg.webp 150w,https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/genius-pos-global-payments-70x70.jpg.webp 70w\" alt=\"\" width=\"376\" height=\"376\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Though Global does not break out results for Genius, Bready said sales in the March quarter nearly doubled the performance seen early last year. Sales so far have been encouraging enough for the technology to be \u201ca central pillar of our growth strategy,\u201d Bready said. Now, with Genius Mobile as the latest salient, he said Global is \u201cvery bullish\u201d about Genius\u2019s \u201cability to scale from the smallest merchant to enterprises.\u201d Small merchants will likely become a bigger pool of prospects as Global now moves to sell Genius through the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/gettrx-debuts-a-white-label-processing-program-for-isos-and-isvs\/\">independent sales organization<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0channel.<\/p>\n<p>Another major initiative at Global, as it is at most payments platforms, is adoption of\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/the-ai-upload-verifone-adapts-ai-for-fuel-and-c-store-merchants-soundhound-ai-debuts-an-agentic-platform\/\">artificial intelligence<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0technology, a plan that embraces Genius. \u201cWe have a plan to embed AI more deeply in our products. Genius is an example,\u201d Bready said, though he backed off saying more about the matter, noting that announcements are forthcoming. \u201cOn\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/eye-on-agentic-commerce-experians-tool-for-verifying-consumer-agent-link-kites-wallet-service-for-ai-agents\/\">agentic commerce<\/a><\/strong>, it\u2019s very nascent,\u201d he said. \u201cWe\u2019re obviously building all the connective tissue to allow agentic commerce to grow at scale.\u201d At the same time, the company is working out \u201cwhat platforms to grow, and what to shut down,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The integration of\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/worldpay-launches-a-protocol-for-creating-ai-agents-and-connecting-them-to-its-platform\/\">Worldpay<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0will likely boost Genius sales further, Bready said. For all of Worldpay\u2019s heft and economies of scale, \u201cthe bigger opportunity with Worldpay in the U.S. is to unlock their financial-institution channel and ISO channel,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>For the quarter, Global reported $2.86 billion in net revenue, up 29.5% from a year ago, with adjusted operating income rising 22.1% to $1.14 billion.
