Terms were not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>Schaumburg, Ill.-based\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/consumers-spend-more-when-payments-are-frictionless-an-nmi-study-finds\/\">NMI<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0says the deal brings merchant-pricing capabilities supported by AI, adding to an arsenal of services the processor offers to independent sales organizations, independent software vendors, and agents that sell payments processing to small and medium-size sellers. The move comes at a time when card-acceptance costs have grown into a sore point for many merchants, leading to pressure on sales agents and their processors to support pricing decisions with more precise analytics.<\/p>\n<div class=\"g g-4\">\n<div class=\"g-dyn a-705 c-1\">\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Fee Navigator, based in Philadelphia and founded seven years ago, says joining NMI will broaden its prospect base among ISOs and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/deluxe-and-payfinia-enable-paze-for-isvs\/\">ISVs<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0as these agents work to make accurate pricing decisions. \u201cMerchant pricing has always been one of the hardest parts of payments to get right,\u201d notes Adrian Talapan, chief executive and cofounder of Fee Navigator, in a statement.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-1332612\" src=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/nmi_logo_gradient_purple_rgb_2.jpg.webp\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/nmi_logo_gradient_purple_rgb_2.jpg.webp 800w,https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/nmi_logo_gradient_purple_rgb_2-300x97.jpg.webp 300w,https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/nmi_logo_gradient_purple_rgb_2-768x249.jpg.webp 768w,https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/nmi_logo_gradient_purple_rgb_2-150x49.jpg.webp 150w,https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/nmi_logo_gradient_purple_rgb_2-500x162.jpg.webp 500w\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"259\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>NMI\u2019s deal for Fee Navigator follows on the heels of its<a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/nmis-latest-deal-snags-a2a-platform-dwolla\/\">\u00a0<strong>acquisition last month<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>of Dwolla<\/strong><\/a>, a Des Moines, Iowa-based processor, though the two moves are of a piece, according to Steve Pinado, NMI\u2019s chief executive. \u201cWith Dwolla, we expanded the ways our partners can move money. With Fee Navigator, we are adding AI-powered intelligence that helps them price, optimize, and grow their business,\u201d he says in a statement. Terms of the Dwolla acquisition were also not released.<\/p>\n<p>Pinado indicates the growing importance of pricing analytics as merchant discontent over acceptance fees grows. \u201cMerchant pricing has become increasingly important as card acceptance costs continue to rise,\u201d he says in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Some observers also see other connections that may have led to the deal for Fee Navigator so soon after the Dwolla acquisition. \u201cTo me, it tracks perfectly,\u201d notes Cliff Gray, principal at Gray Consulting Ventures LLC. \u201cNMI acquires Dwolla to broaden their alternative payments options, then acquires and leverages Fee Navigator to optimize pricing recommendations and margin opportunities, especially to low-cost alternatives like Dwolla.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The deal will also ease and quicken pricing decisions in a highly competitive merchant-processing market, observers say. \u201cFee Navigator will give [NMI] something most processors,\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/as-gateways-become-more-vital-tsg-issues-its-rankings\/\">gateways<\/a><\/strong>, and\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaltransactions.net\/embedded-payments-shift-from-add-on-status-to-basic-infrastructure\/\">embedded-payments<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0platforms don\u2019t have, automated pricing intelligence and margin analytics,\u201d says Eric Grover, principal at the consultancy Intrepid Ventures.<\/p>\n<p>Private-equity backed NMI processes for 1.2 million merchants, supporting online, in-app, in-store, and mobile payments, the company says.
